Found while poking around the garden with the macro lens. Another discovery I made was that AI servo autofocus makes life much easier when doing macro handheld, especially with a moving target.

Probably one of my favourite landscape shots that I've ever taken. This was shot from the top of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. The light was incredible, and combined with the perfect sky and a brilliant view of the mountains, makes for a very nice shot.

Batu Caves

Here is the statue of Lord Murigan at the Batu Caves temple just outside Ipoh in Malaysia. Standing at over 140 feet high, it's quite an impressive sight, I have a better picture showing the scale that I will post later. This is the same place as where we saw all the monkeys :-)

One taken tonight using the macro lens and the flash, camera on manual, set flash to expose the image correctly and then convert to BW (using 2 passes through calculations, one for the flower head, another for the stem and then combined using layer masks) and cropped a little closer. I also widened the canvas a little, a trivial task as the background is pure black, and I think it adds a nice bit of impact to the image, especially with the close crop.
